This report finds that the world had 208.4
million IPTV subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2017, up 11.6% compared to
the previous quarter. The top 10 countries accounted for 89.1% of the total
IPTV subscribes in the fourth quarter of 2017 with China taking up about 58.6%.
When it comes to individual operators' performance, China Telecom continued to
have the world's largest IPTV subscriber base of nearly 100 million in the
fourth quarter of 2017, up from 64.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2016. The
number of global IPTV subscribers is anticipated to have grown 7.6%
sequentially in the first quarter of 2017 and the growth momentum will continue
to persist throughout the year.
